Firing took place a day before the by-election in Vijaypur assembly constituency of Madhya Pradesh. 9 miscreants who came on bike threatened the tribals and opened fire. Many people have been injured in the firing. He has been admitted to the district hospital.
The villagers caught one of the accused with a gun. The incident took place at 10 pm on Monday night in Dhanachaya village of Dhodhar police station area. Congress has accused BJP leaders of anarchy and hooliganism.
Rapid firing when stopped from abusing
Two tribal youth named Prakash and Harvilas have been injured in the incident. He told the police that some people had come on bikes with guns in the night. As soon as they reached the colony they started abusing. When he refused, they started firing rapidly. When the police was informed, SDOP Rajeev Gupta reached the village with the soldiers.
Firing amid code of conduct, questions on police
Voting is on November 13 in Vijaypur. At present the election code of conduct is in force. Therefore, all the licensed guns in the constituency have been confiscated by the police. The surrounding borders have also been sealed. Despite all this, open firing raises questions on police monitoring.
Patwari said – Commission should remove Collector-SP
State Congress President Jitu Patwari has shared a video related to the incident and demanded the removal of the Collector-SP. Said, today the campaign ended in Vijaypur and atrocities on voters started. BJP is also coloring the by-elections with red ink.
Jitu Patwari said, on one hand the code of conduct is in force, and on the other hand the armed goons of the BJP candidate are firing at the tribal brothers. I have been continuously talking about the nexus between Vijaypur Collector and BJP, but it was not taken seriously. Now its results are visible.
The accused should be arrested immediately
Congress District President of Sheopur Atul Singh Chauhan said, BJP leaders do politics of hooliganism by spreading anarchy. Firing on poor tribals shows their petty mentality. Police-administration should immediately arrest the accused, otherwise Congress will launch a fierce agitation.
On information, SDOP Rajiv Kumar Gupta reached the village with the police force. Teams were sent in search of other accused. Sheopur District Congress President Atul Singh Chauhan says that BJP people want to do politics of hooliganism by spreading anarchy. Firing like this on poor tribals shows a petty mentality. The administration and police should immediately arrest the accused, otherwise Congress will fight with the tribals.
Before the Vijaypur Assembly by-election, the administration and police have collected all the arms licenses in the police stations across the district. Despite this, the accused reached the village with a gun. Congress raised the question and said that when the licenses were collected, then where did the weapons come from? Even though BJP is contesting the by-election of Vijaypur assembly seat on the issue of development and Congress on the issue of traitor, the caste equation dominates the election. People of tribal and Kushwaha community are seen mobilized in support of Congress candidate Mukesh Malhotra.

Kamal Nath attacked BJP
Here, the statement of former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath also came out regarding the incident. He said- The incident of firing on tribals before the by-election voting in Vijaypur assembly seat of Sheopur district is extremely worrying. Many people of the tribal community were injured in this incident. It is clear from the incident that before the assembly by-elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party wants to spoil the atmosphere of the area and scare the voters. Such incidents just before voting raise very serious questions on law and order and election arrangements. It has become clear from the incident that Bharatiya Janata Party is not desisting from horse-trading politics. She can buy MLAs, but cannot buy the public, that is why bullets are being fired on the voters. I appeal to the Election Commission to take the incident very seriously and ensure fair elections in Vijaypur Assembly.
