Two shops caught fire due to PNG pipeline burst near District Civil Hospital near Palwal. A person running a tea shop died in the accident. While the goods kept in the shops were burnt to ashes.
The deceased was identified as Hari Singhala, resident of Shiv Vihar Colony. Hari had opened a small tea shop and at the time of the incident, he used to make tea on the gas stove. The pipeline is going right in front of the shop.
After the leak, the gas released from the pipeline spread rapidly and the fire from the gas stove ignited. Hari was badly burnt. Other shopkeepers ran away when the fire broke out. The fire department vehicle extinguished the fire on the spot.
