The post-mortem of the body of Bhilai’s notorious goon Amit Josh, who was killed in a police encounter, was conducted on Saturday. Two bullets were taken out of his body. In which one bullet was fired from his stomach and the other from the part between the thigh and knee of his right leg.
The forensic team seized one bullet and eight shells from the incident site. In this encounter, 16 rounds were fired by the police. The criminal Amit Josh had fired seven to eight bullets. Out of which one bullet has been recovered from the police vehicle.
The team of District Hospital’s Dr. Kalyan Singh, Dr. Mayank and Dr. Kamendra Thakur conducted the post-mortem of Amit Josh’s body in front of the Judicial Magistrate. Complete videography of the post-mortem was also done. His body was brought to the sawmill of the district hospital at around four o’clock on Saturday evening. As soon as the dead body arrived, Amit Josh’s mother Bizzy Morris started mourning there.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, heavy police force remained deployed around the sawmill even during the post-mortem. The post-mortem of the dead body continued for about three hours. During this time his relatives were also present outside the sawmill. After post-mortem, the body was handed over to the relatives and the family members also buried its shroud.

After the encounter of notorious goon criminal Amit Josh, 37th crime of attempt to murder was registered against him in Bhilai Nagar police station. Along with this, SP Jitendra Shukla sent the complete report informing about the circumstances of the encounter to NHRC (National Human Rights Commission). NHRC will investigate this matter. The circumstances of the encounter will be assessed and reported.
On receiving information about Amit Josh’s arrival in Bhilai, police teams were busy arresting him. He first opened fire on the police. In response to which the police also opened fire in self-defense. In which Amit Josh was killed. This matter is not over yet. Amit Josh was involved in all kinds of crimes
Amit Josh alias Morris was a very notorious criminal of Bhilai Nagar. A total of 36 cases including one murder, five attempt to murder, four robbery, 12 Arms Act cases were already registered against him. He used to stab and shoot people walking on the road without any reason. He used to occupy BSP’s residences and give them on rent.
His mother Bizzy Morris, brother-in-law Lucky George and sister also supported his crime. On the night of June 25, he had opened fire on Sunil Yadav and Aditya Singh, residents of Vishrampur, near Sector-6 Globe Chowk. Even after this incident his family members supported him. Due to which he was arrested.
