In Madhya Pradesh, 1 lakh 85 thousand 481 vehicles were sold in the month of October. The smart chip company working in the transport department has stopped working. The department does not have the card for registration. In such a situation, after online registration, the vehicle owner has to make do with the soft copy. Due to this, some vehicle buyers are getting the number written on the vehicle by getting the copy online, while those who are not yet technology friendly, are running the vehicle on the roads without the number while waiting for the hard copy. Now, if any accident occurs due to these, it will not be easy to trace the vehicle.

Actually, the Transport Department had a contract with the smart chip company till now. Things turned sour over outstanding payments and the company stopped operating in October. After this, the Transport Department has not been able to contract with any new company till now. Although efforts are definitely being made to convince Smart Chip, for this some payment of their outstanding amount of Rs 88 crore has also been released. So that the company can complete the work by December and the problems will end. This will give the government some time to finalize the new company.

meaning of soft copy

After purchasing a new vehicle, an application is made to the RTO for registration. Usually the department issues registration cards, but at present the department does not have the card. Due to this, registration is now being done online only. With this, vehicle owners can go to the website of the transport department through computer or mobile anywhere and obtain a copy of their registration card. You can also get the number written on the vehicle.

Be sure to keep your mobile with you

If you have recently purchased a vehicle and have not taken out the registration card, then definitely keep your mobile with you. So that if caught during police checking, they can show a copy of the online registration, otherwise they may have to face challan.

Records of some districts are not online

The data of vehicles registered in the districts is uploaded on the official website of the State Transport Department, transport.org.in. The special thing is that along with many cities of the region, data of metropolitan cities like Bhopal and Jabalpur is also not visible in it.

this is the loss

  • If an accident occurs on the road due to a vehicle without number, it will be difficult to trace.
  • Antisocial elements can easily escape by using vehicles without number.
  • If there is no number on the vehicle and it is stolen then it will not be easy for the police to find it.

Records of Bhopal, Jabalpur are not even online

Data of Indore and Gwalior, among the four major metros of the state, is visible online. Whereas no record of Bhopal and Jabalpur is visible on the website.

After terminating the contract of the smart chip company, the new company is now being considered at the government level. Right now we are registering vehicles, but due to lack of card, people can get a copy of RC from anywhere, just like DL. Talks are also going on with smart chip company.
