Actually, the Transport Department had a contract with the smart chip company till now. Things turned sour over outstanding payments and the company stopped operating in October. After this, the Transport Department has not been able to contract with any new company till now. Although efforts are definitely being made to convince Smart Chip, for this some payment of their outstanding amount of Rs 88 crore has also been released. So that the company can complete the work by December and the problems will end. This will give the government some time to finalize the new company.
