Special Armed Forces ASI Ravindra Parmar committed suicide in Alirajpur. While talking on mobile, he suddenly shot himself in the head with his service revolver. Police sent the body for post-mortem and started investigating the case. The reason for suicide has not been revealed yet.

An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) posted in the Special Armed Forces in the city has committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a service revolver. He was talking to someone on mobile at the time of the incident. During this time he suddenly took out a revolver and shot himself in the head.

People heard the sound of gunshot and reached the nearby spot and informed the police. Revolver and mobile were found lying near the dead body of the ASI on the spot. Police say they are investigating the incident. The reason for suicide has not been revealed yet.

The incident occurred around 3 pm on Thursday afternoon. Kotwali police said that ASI Ravindra Parmar, originally a resident of Marimata Rambagh Colony, Indore, was posted in Alirajpur in the Special Armed Forces. He had returned from his duty to the battalion camp. Here he was talking to someone on mobile outside the government residence.

During this time he suddenly took out his service revolver and shot himself in the head. Hearing the sound of firing, other policemen posted in the battalion reached the spot. After receiving information about the incident, Indore Range Rural DIG Nimish Aggarwal, present in Alirajpur, also reached the spot and inspected the incident site.

Reason for suicide not revealed

Kotwali police reached the spot, prepared Panchnama of the body and sent the body to the district hospital for post-mortem. Initially the police could not find out the reasons for the suicide. Police has informed the relatives of ASI living in Indore. Kotwali police is investigating further in the matter.

The mystery will be solved after the family’s statement

ASI’s family was in Indore. He was living here alone. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the ASI was under stress. However, the reason for this has not been revealed. Kotwali police station in-charge Shivram Tarole said that the matter is being investigated. The relatives of the deceased ASI are reaching Alirajpur. Statements of the family members will be taken. The CDR will reveal who the ASI was talking to at the time of the incident. Revolver and mobile have also been recovered from the spot.
