A retired railway employee living near Jagmal Chowk in Torwa area has complained of fraud against his daughter and son-in-law. Also a complaint has been lodged against the Municipal Corporation Revenue Inspector for conspiracy. On the orders of the court, Torva police have registered a case against the daughter and son-in-law as well as the revenue inspector and have investigated the matter.
Rampratap Mishra (78), living at Jagmal Chowk in Torwa area, is a retired employee of Railways. There is land and shops in different places in his and his wife’s name. The retired employee told that his younger daughter Kalpana Awasthi has made a love marriage with Laxmikant Awasthi, who lives near Jagmal Chowk. Presently the retired employee lives with his elder daughter. The younger daughter and son-in-law want to take over their property.
In March 2023, son-in-law Laxmikant came to his house. He got some documents signed by his father-in-law saying that the house would be regularized. Later, when the retired employees became suspicious and reached the corporation office, they came to know that they had been tricked. When he gathered information, he came to know that stamps had been taken to get the will written in his name. It was also revealed that the son-in-law had deposited Rs 19 lakh in his bank account.
After this the retired employee was told that we have deposited the money in his account. Had to sign three checks to withdraw it. After a day or two the entire amount was withdrawn. Sensing fraud, the retired employee filed a complaint in the court. After the hearing, the court has registered a crime in the case and ordered Torva police to investigate. On this, the police have registered a case against the daughter and son-in-law as well as Municipal Corporation Revenue Inspector Rajesh Shukla and have taken the matter under investigation.
