In the state level program organized at Ravindra Bhawan, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed Govardhan Puja as per the rituals. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the coming time, bonus will also be given to those rearing cows and producing milk.
The Mohan government of the state is celebrating the festival of Govardhan Puja with full enthusiasm. On the occasion of this festival, a state level Govardhan Puja program was organized at Ravindra Bhawan in the capital on Saturday, in which Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended as the chief guest. The CM worshiped Lord Govardhan as per the rituals amidst chanting of Vedic mantras in the Ravindra Bhawan complex.
During the Govardhan Puja program, State Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Lakhan Patel congratulated Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by presenting him “Ram Darbar” made of cow dung. BJP State President Vishnudatt Sharma, State Government Minister Vishwas Sarang, Krishna Gaur, Lakhan Patel, MP Alok Sharma, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, Bhagwan Das Sabnani, District President Sumit Pachauri and local public representatives were present in the program. Swami Achyutanand and Swami Hariomanand, who did special work in the field of cow protection, were also specially present in the program. During this, the Chief Minister also honored 10 best cowherds who served cows.
Farmers’ Diwali starts with Govardhan Puja
On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in his address from the stage of the program said that Govardhan Puja is a symbol of our culture. Diwali of our farmers starts with Govardhan Puja. Farmers already get credit cards for producing crops, but now credit cards will also be given to those rearing cows, so that they can arrange money for rearing the cows.
He said that special grant will be given to those rearing more than 10 cows. We have decided that whatever expenditure will be incurred for the rearing of 5 thousand to 10,000 cows in the municipal corporation area, it will be managed by the state government.
Emphasis on increasing milk production
The government has also decided that in the coming time, bonus will be given to those rearing cows and producing milk. For this, the government has got the activities of Amul Institute of Gujarat examined and along with this, along with the National Dairy Board, it is emphasizing on increasing milk production in all the villages of the state.
Exhibition of Panchgavya products held
In this event focusing on the cultural and economic importance of Govardhan festival, an exhibition focusing on cow culture, environment display and health based benefits has also been organized at the venue. In this exhibition, mainly the economic importance of Panchgavya products, cow craft products, agriculture based products and daily use products has been displayed. Govardhan Puja programs are also being organized in one of the major cowsheds of all the districts.
CM did cow service
Earlier today, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav served Mother Cow by performing rituals at CM House and expressed his reverence towards her. On this occasion, while giving a message to the people of the state, he said that our culture is a ‘festival oriented’ culture. It is said in our Vedas “Gavo Vishwasya Matarah” i.e. cow is the mother of the world. The state government is working at a fast pace for the conservation of cow progeny. This festival of Govardhan Puja reminds us of our duties towards nature and livestock.
