With increasing crowd on Diwali, air travel becomes expensive, fares up to three times on flights coming from Bengaluru, Pune.

As Diwali approaches, IT professionals and students working in cities like Bengaluru and Pune are returning to their cities. In such a situation, airlines have suddenly increased the fares. Passengers are now waiting for the start of Air India Express’s third Bengaluru flight. The company has taken the slot, but has not started booking yet.

winter schedule implemented

The winter schedule comes into effect every year around Diwali. This time also the winter schedule has come into effect from October 27. Bhopal-Pune late light flight has also started from this day. Usually, fares for late night flights are low, but now airlines have started fixing fares depending on the season and number of passengers. This is the reason why at present the fare for Pune flight from Bhopal is low, but the fare for coming flight is high. After November 2, the departure fare from Bhopal is higher and the return fare is lower. The flight fare from Bengaluru is located here. Airlines companies are charging two and a half to three times the fares compared to normal days.

Passengers increased in Pune, Bengaluru flights

In Pune and Bengaluru, a large number of youth from Bhopal, Vidisha, Sehore, Sagar, Damoh and surrounding small towns work as IT professionals. Many students also study in these cities. Before Diwali, the number of people coming from these cities suddenly increases. This is the reason why airlines increase the fares. In off-season, if booked 15 to 30 days in advance, fares are lower than spot fare, but companies now feed the festival days in their system. Due to this, even less pre-booking is not possible at lower fares.

Third flight will provide relief

Air India’s subsidiary company Air India Express has announced to start flights to Bengaluru in the month of December. The company has also taken the slot, but booking has not started. There are currently two IndiGo flights to Bengaluru. There may be relief in fares with the introduction of the third flight. Due to maximum number of flights to Delhi and Mumbai, passengers get seats for four to five thousand rupees.
