Till now, there was no facility of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation Hospital (ESIC Hospital) for private sector employees from industrial area Pithampur to Dhar district. The construction of a 100-bed hospital on approximately 8.31 hectares in Pithampur is going to begin on October 29.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it virtually. All preparations for construction have been started. The construction of the hospital will cost approximately Rs 125 crore, and its work is likely to be completed in October 2026.
Dhar MLA Neena Verma had taken the initiative
- This will provide relief to the workers of Pithampur industrial area and employees working in the organized sector, and other people of the district will also get hope of help in bad times.
- Dhar MLA Neena Verma had met the Chief Minister for this hospital and continuous efforts were made for this. As a result of this, its acceptance became possible.
- The government approved Rs 125 crore in March this year, and after this the Central Public Works Department has been made an agency under the tender process.
The land was acquired in 2017
For this, land was acquired in the year 2017 itself. 8.5 hectares of land was authorized in the Pithampur area, and construction was expected here since then.
Now there is hope that this dream will be fulfilled, because the situation of Bhoomi Pujan is being prepared soon. Probably this gift will be received on Dhanteras on 29th October.
Who will benefit from the construction of a hospital?
The 100-bed hospital is important as it will provide relief to organized sector employees of Pithampur Industrial Area. This will be an important facility for more than 136,950 private sector employees in the organized sector of Pithampur in Dhar district and the entire district. Apart from this, it will also benefit 531,336 people of the district, who currently have to wander here and there for affordable treatment. The families of the employees will also get relief from this.
Thus, this 100 bed hospital can bring a big relief to the staff in Pithampur area, although it will have to wait for 2 years, as the Central Public Works Department will be able to complete the building only in October 2026.
