Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the initiative of “Run for Unity” is unprecedented, reflecting the resolve for national unity, health and fitness on the birth anniversary of Iron Man Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. With independence, Sardar Patel was most concerned about the health of the country.
Despite the opposing views adopted by various princely states, Sardar Patel gave the country its present form by merging the princely states in less than two years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the idea of “Run for Unity” to the country to restore the noble and great personality of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the society.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the “Run for Unity” program organized at Tatya Tope Nagar Stadium to commemorate the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was dedicated to the integrity of India. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav offered floral tributes on the portrait of Sardar Patel and administered the oath of national unity to the people present.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav flagged off the energetic youth participating in the program. In the program, MLA Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary Smita Bhardwaj Ghate and Sports Director Dr. Ravi Kumar Gupta, Joint Director BS Yadav and a large number of public representatives, officers and Youth were present.
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played an important role in uniting the country. He fought against the kings and kingdoms who had different opinions and gave the country its present form. The “Run for Unity” program is an opportunity to reiterate our commitment towards maintaining the unity and integrity of the country.
MP VD Sharma said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, along with the development and public welfare activities, the Indian cultural environment is being enriched by the events like Shastra Puja and Govardhan Puja organized by the state government.
