In Mandla, a bus coming from Dindori to Bichhiya went out of control and climbed on the railing of Halon bridge, but fortunately no passenger was injured. The incident happened at 5 pm, the driver of the bus said that the brakes had failed. A major accident was averted due to the hanging of the bus, due to which the passengers heaved a sigh of relief.

The bus carrying more than 50 passengers from Dindori towards Bichhiya went out of control at 5 pm on the bridge built on Halon river, 9 kilometers away on Bhua Bichhiya to Dindori road. The driver’s side of the bus broke the railing of the bridge and hung on the bridge, while the rear tire rested on the bridge’s railing. If the bus had increased by 6 to 8 inches more, the bus would have fallen 100 feet below the bridge into the flowing water. Then the mere thought of the accident shudders the soul.
Cause of incident not confirmed
The cause of such a major accident has not been officially confirmed yet. The police team has reached the spot. The passengers traveling in the bus have left for their destination by other means. While some people say that the bus went out of control due to brake failure, some say that the incident occurred while trying to save the two-wheeler.

The driver himself reached the police station
The driver of the accident struck vehicle himself reached Bichhiya police station. Driver Arjun Lal Jharia, age 50, resident of Bichhiya, attributed the incident to the sudden failure of the brakes of the bus and due to the motorcycle coming from the front to save him, the bus went out of control.
