The trial of the bio-compressed CNG plant built in Adarsh Gaushala has started. CNG production will start after 15 days. On one hand, the production of CNG will make the cowshed self-reliant, while on the other hand it will also promote natural farming.
The trial of the bio-compressed CNG plant built in the Municipal Corporation’s Adarsh Gaushala has started. This plant has been tested in the past also, but now preparations are being made to operate it at full capacity.
It is expected that CNG production will start after 15 days. On the one hand, with the creation of CNG, the cowshed will be self-reliant, on the other hand, it will also promote natural farming, because farmers will be able to use the cow dung manure coming out of the bio-CNG plant for farming in their fields.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Aman Vaishnav said that on October 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had virtually inaugurated the bio-compressed CNG plant built in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation at the Municipal Corporation’s Adarsh Gaushala. After this, the trial of this plant has been started by the Municipal Corporation and Indian Oil Corporation. The trial of this plant will be run continuously for 15 days. During this time, bio CNG gas will start being produced inside it. Corporation vehicles will be operated with this gas.
These will be the benefits
- The first cowshed in the state where setting up a bio-CNG plant will produce two tons of CNG gas every day.
- 100 tonnes of wet waste like cow dung and vegetables will be disposed of every day.
- The plant will produce 25 tonnes of organic fertilizer every day.
- The plant will generate an income of Rs 6 crore every year.
- The environment will become cleaner if the vehicle runs on bio-CNG gas.
- About 10 thousand cows will be properly looked after.
- There will be proper processing and disposal of cow dung.
- This will provide relief from accumulation of cow dung in drains.
- Wet waste generated from vegetable market and common people’s homes will be disposed of.
- Organic farming will be encouraged.

Will collect dung from dairies
The Municipal Corporation will collect cow dung from the dairies of dairy operators in the city and use it to make CNG gas. Due to this, the process of dumping cow dung into drains by dairy operators will end. This will provide relief from blockage of drains and sewer lines. Its direct impact will be seen on the health and cleanliness of the common people.
