Fearing public shame, the girl committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance.
A girl from the same village who had gone to defecate was raped by a man from the same village. Hurt by the incident, the girl consumed poisonous substance. The family took him to the medical hospital, where he died during treatment. On Sunday, Garha police got the dead body embalmed. The body was handed over to the family members. Gosalpur police said that the 22-year-old girl had gone to the fields to defecate. Just then a 55 year old man from the village reached there. He seemed to be the girl’s maternal uncle. The girl got scared seeing him. Before she could understand anything, the accused caught hold of the girl. Forcibly raped her. Threatened to kill if he told anything to anyone.
