Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput has said that the Madhya Pradesh government has distributed food grains to one crore 28 lakh 56 thousand eligible families covered under the Food Security Act through fair price shops operated under the targeted public distribution system. going. In this, wheat and rice are distributed every month to the eligible families of Antyodaya category and priority category. From the month of October 2024, food grains have been distributed to the beneficiaries by changing the ratio of wheat and rice.

Allocation of food grains for the month of November 2024 has been released to the districts. Earlier, the state was receiving wheat and rice from the Central Government in the ratio of 40:60. At present the allocation of wheat and rice is being received in the ratio of 60:40. In the same proportion, food grains are also being distributed to eligible categories of beneficiaries through POS machines from fair price shops under the Public Distribution System. 35 kg (wheat and rice) is being distributed to eligible families of Antyodaya category and 5 kg of wheat and rice per member to priority category families.
