There are some police personnel in Gwalior police stations who have been stuck for years. If they are transferred to another police station, they go on leave or come back to the same police station with full force. Whereas there are instructions from the government that no employee should be kept at one police station for more than 4 years.
Gwalior police station is being run by a few faces. It may sound a bit strange, but this is the reality. Because there are many policemen in the police stations of the city, who have been posted at the same place for years. Sometimes, after any complaint, their police stations were changed or they were sent to the line, but they returned to the same police stations, where the entire system worked as per their wish.
If their police stations are changed, instead of working in other police stations, they either go on leave or try their best to return. Amazing thing – even the officers who show strictness with their pen secretly return them back to where they want. This system of posting in the same police station for years is taking a toll on policing.
Policemen who have been established for years use the network as per their convenience and do not allow new policemen to stay. As a result, the network of crime, betting, gambling, illegal liquor, illegal weapons and drugs flourish due to the internal conflicts within the police station. There are many policemen who, while serving as constables, later became head constables and ASIs. Some policemen keep exchanging in selected police stations only.
Police Headquarters order…
– No employee will be posted on one post in any one police station for more than 4 years.
– After completion of this period, no officer or employee will be posted again in the same police station.
Naiduniya investigation…
Naidunia team investigated some police stations of the city. In which the reality came to light that some policemen have been in the same police station for more than five years. At some places the situation is like this – the constables and constables have established their roots for more years than the police station in-charges. Sources say- Even if the police station in-charge writes to remove them, they get orders from the same police station again. Naidunia investigated 10 police stations of the city including the Crime Branch, which revealed that some policemen have spent most of their career in one police station.
