LB cadre teachers staged strike to calculate prior service period

Chief Minister, Education Minister through CEO District Panchayat Rajendra Pandey and BEO Dhaneshwari Sahu held a one-day block level protest and rally in Abhanpur near the district office on the provincial call of Chhattisgarh Shikshak Sangharsh Morcha regarding the five-point demand of LB cadre teachers. Sir, memorandum was submitted in the name of Finance Minister, Chief Secretary, Finance Secretary, Education Secretary, DPI. Collector, Joint Director and DEO for promotion to the head reader of primary school and head reader of secondary school of Raipur district. A memorandum was also submitted to the CEO and BEO in the name of. A warning was also given to gherao the DEO office if he was not promoted to the post of head reader of the primary school before Diwali.
During the protest, teachers raised slogans like old pension, full pension, salary discrepancy, promotion, promotion, pending DA and demanded immediate implementation of Modi’s guarantee for teachers.
In Modi’s guarantee, there is a mention of removing the salary discrepancy of LB cadre teachers and giving them advanced pay scale and giving them dearness allowance from the due date. There was a lot of discussion in the protest demonstration, slogans were raised to implement Modi’s guarantee.
Among the demands for which a memorandum was submitted through protest and rally, under the guarantee of Modi ji, salary discrepancy of assistant teachers should be removed and all LB cadre should be given upgraded/time scale pay scale.
After determining the correct salary in the equivalent pay scale (revised pay scale), the salary should be determined at the coefficient of 1.86.
By calculating the previous service period, the old pension of all the teachers of LB cadre should be determined and like the order issued by the Government of India on September 2, 2008, instead of full pension in 33 years, provision should be made for full pension in 20 years.
According to the decision dated 28/02/2024 passed by the Double Bench of the Honorable High Court Bilaspur in petition number WA/261/2024, departmental order of promotion/time scale should be issued for all eligible LB cadre teachers.
Teachers and employees should be given 3 percent dearness allowance from July 1, 2024, like the Centre, and the arrear amount of dearness allowance should be adjusted in the GPF/CGPF account on the due date from July 2019.

On November 1, the state foundation day, teachers across the state will light lamps for pre-service counting and demand rights.
On November 11, a memorandum will be submitted to the Chief Minister in 146 development blocks of the state.
Between November 12 and November 24, the demand letter will be handed over to the Chief Minister, Minister, MP and MLA of the state.
On 25 November 2024, we will march on foot from Indravati to Mahanadi Bhawan headquarters and present the demand letter.
