A youth committed suicide by shooting himself in the middle market in Ambah of Morena district. Police reached the spot as soon as the information was received. Police also found a pistol and empty cartridges at the scene. It is being told that the young man committed suicide due to love affair. A CCTV footage of this incident has also surfaced, in which the young man is seen shooting himself as soon as he got off the bike, while his friends leave him there and run away.
According to the police, on Wednesday afternoon, normal traffic was going on in the market as usual. Meanwhile, at around 2 o’clock, some youths came on three bikes. Gaurav Sakhwar (18) father Rajbir was also sitting on one of these bikes. All the youths had reached the parade intersection and everyone got down from their bikes at the intersection.
Meanwhile, Gaurav took out a pistol from his pocket and shot himself. As soon as the bullet hit, Gaurav fell on the road in a bleeding state. Hearing the sound of the bullet, there was panic among the people present at the spot, while his friends who had accompanied Gaurav also got scared and ran away with their bike, leaving him alone on the road.
People informed the police about this incident. By the time the police reached the spot, Gaurav was dead. After which the body was taken to the civil hospital. The family members also reached there after getting information from the police. Police say that in the preliminary investigation the matter seems to be a love affair. At present a case has been registered and investigation is being done. Statements of family members are also being taken. Gaurav was a plumber by profession and he used to do tap fitting work.
Regarding this matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Arvind Thakur says that in the initial investigation, the reason for the death of the youth is revealed to be a love affair. It is said that he was talking to someone on the phone, during which he threatened to commit suicide and as soon as he entered the city, he committed suicide by shooting himself.
Thakur said that discussions are being held with the family members regarding this entire matter. Family members say that Gaurav also used to talk to a girl living near their house. Investigation is being done in this regard and the girl will also be interrogated, only after this the matter will be revealed.
