A case has been registered against producer Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor under the POCSO Act. According to the information coming out, now Mumbai Police will soon issue notice to both of them. This has been confirmed by a senior police officer. “We will soon issue notices to the accused persons and ask them to appear before the investigators,” the police officer said.
What is the whole matter?
Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor have been accused of filming objectionable scenes of minor girls in Alt Balaji’s web series ‘Gandii Baat’. According to Mumbai Police, a case has been registered against Balaji Telefilm Limited, Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor at the MHB police station in Mumbai under sections 295-A of the IPC, IT Act and sections 13 and 15 of the POCSO Act.
Insulting great men and saints
Along with this, there are also allegations of hurting religious sentiments on the series. A local citizen has also accused the web series of insulting great men and saints by using cigarette advertisement in MHB police station, Borivali, Mumbai.
Arrest warrant was issued in 2020
In 2020 also, a case was registered against Ekta Kapoor due to this series. Then Ekta Kapoor was accused of showing objectionable material against the army in a season of ‘Gandii Baat’. In such a situation, a court in Begusarai district of Bihar had issued a warrant for the arrest of Ekta and Shobha. Let us tell you, the investigation of this matter is still going on.
