Fed meat of children: Woman rescued from Gaza tells horrifying story of ISIS terrorists

A Yazidi woman rescued by the Israeli army from Gaza has narrated her horrifying ordeal. Fauzia Amin Sido, a Yazidi woman who was rescued two weeks ago, recalled the horrific atrocities she faced while captured by ISIS. Sido said he and his brothers were captured by ISIS fighters at the age of nine. A few days later, I was forced to walk from Sinjar to Tal Afar along with thousands of other hostages. After keeping us hungry for three days continuously, the terrorists gave us meat and rice to eat, we all found the taste of meat strange, but being hungry for three days, we all ate that rice and meat.

In his interview with The Jerusalem Post, Sido said that after we all ate that rice and meat, some people started having stomach pain. The ISIS people told us later that the meat they gave us to eat was that of Yazidi children. To prove his point, he also showed us pictures of innocent children with their heads cut off and said that these are the same children whom you people have just eaten.

Human flesh was fed to religious minority hostages

This incident of ISIS fighters feeding human flesh to their Yazidi hostages is not an isolated one. In 2017, Yazidi MP Viaan Dakhil had also exposed this practice started by the terrorist organization. Sido told that when the fighters of the terrorist group told us that they had fed us human flesh, many people present there were so shocked that they died of heart attack. His torture did not end here. I was held for several months in a basement prison with 200 other Yazidi girls. The conditions there were so bad that many girls died just by eating dirty food and drinking water.

Sold to 5 fighters

Sido told that after being taken out of the underground prison, he was sold 5 times. She also had two children with one of the fighters, Abu Amr al-Maqdisi. After being in captivity for years, she was able to return to Iraq to her family only when she was rescued from Gaza a few days ago in a military operation led by the Israeli army. However, their children are still being held hostage in Gaza, where they are being raised as Arab Muslims.

He told that as long as I remained in his captivity, I remained ‘Sabaya’. Even here in Gaza, my condition did not improve much. When I reached my home in Iraq, I could breathe freely as a human being.

Sabaya is an Arabic word which means a woman held captive for sexual exploitation.
