This is the story of two hotel chains in India. The booking in both was for two days, but for staying for only one day, one charged for two days and Taj charged only for one day.
In fact, the culture of Tata Group’s Hotel Taj has won the heart of D Prashant Nair. Ex-HD HR of Thomas Cook, Cipla has praised Hotel Taj wholeheartedly in a post on social media platform X. He further wrote, “Context: I was staying at Taj and my colleague was staying at H during my trip to Chennai. Given the unpredictable weather, we decided to cut short our trip and return tomorrow (evening of the 15th) instead of the 16th. We took this decision on the afternoon of the 15th.”
Describing the incident he wrote, “What happened: H took money from my colleague for both the days. I was surprised that Taj took money from me only for one day. Front office executives said they understood the reason for the change. That’s why Taj is Taj. Respect Tata culture.”
