Fire broke out in a train compartment in MP’s Chhatarpur, smoke suddenly started coming out; This reason came to light


A coach of Geeta Jayanti Express train suddenly caught fire on Sunday morning in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Giving information about this, an official said that there was no casualty in this incident and the fire was immediately controlled. This train runs between Kurukshetra and Khajuraho.

According to the official, the incident took place at around 7.30 am near Ishanagar police station, 25 km from the district headquarters. During this time a coach of the train caught fire. Station Master Ashish Yadav said that due to this incident the train arrived late by about an hour.

The official said the Geeta Jayanti Express (11842) train had stopped for two minutes at Ishanagar station and as the train moved forward, the railway staff saw smoke coming out of the D-5 coach and immediately stopped it. He said that the railway staff immediately brought the fire under control using fire extinguishers. Yadav said that the fire started due to heating of rubber in the lower part of the coach. He told that there was no damage to the coach.
