These employees may lose their jobs, government is preparing for big action; what order

Preparations are underway to take major action against those employees who are not performing well and are involved in corruption. It is reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the Union Secretaries to evaluate the employees on the basis of rules. At present, nothing has been said officially regarding this. The special thing is that under the rules the government can give retirement to any employee.

There are reports that PM Modi has discussed with all the Union Ministers and Secretaries on Wednesday. The report quoted sources as saying that during the conversation he mentioned 56(j) of the CCS (Pension) Rules. Under this, if it is felt that a government employee is not suitable to continue in service, then he can be retired.

However, if the government is compulsorily retiring someone, then that employee will have to be given three months’ notice or three months’ salary and allowances.

These employees may be affected

According to the report, employees who have reached the age of 55 years may be affected by this rule. Regarding Rule 48, the newspaper said that when a government employee completes 30 years of qualifying service, there may be a need to retire him at any time in the public interest. However, the option remains open for such officers to respond and go to court against the order.

Orders to pay attention to complaints

PM Modi has also asked top officials and ministers to ensure that public complaints are resolved immediately. He has asked the secretaries to devote one day a week for this work and the ministers of state to monitor it.
