On Sunday, the Food and Drug Department team raided restaurants and sweet shops around Bageshwar Dham, due to which panic was seen among the shopkeepers. The team collected samples from around 10 Prasad shops and 2 hotels. Not only this, 20 kg sacks of milk cakes and Magaj laddus were destroyed from the shops. Is contaminated Prasad being sold to devotees? To remove this doubt, action has been taken by the team.

It is said that the team of Food and Drug Department was formed on the orders of Chhatarpur Collector Partha Jaiswal. The team took samples from many restaurants and sweet shops running in the Dham. These samples have been sent for testing. This action has been taken by the team to resolve the doubt whether the shopkeepers are adulterating the Prasad.

According to the information received, the team of Food and Drug Department has also given some instructions to the operators running restaurants and sweet shops. In these instructions, it was said that Taj material should be used in the Dham so that the faith of the people and the sanctity of the Dham is maintained. There are clear instructions to shopkeepers not to store any food item for a long time.

The team of Food and Drug Department instructed the shop operators not to keep any kind of food item in the open. There should not be any kind of adulteration in food items. If any shopkeeper is found doing this then the Food and Drug Department team will be forced to take strict action. It is said that these shops are present near the Dham. This incident has come to light at a time when the issue of Tirupati Prasad is hot.
