One year has passed since the Hamas attack on Israel. On the anniversary of the October 7 attacks, the Israeli army has said that the war will continue, so that something like October 7 can never be repeated again. Last year, the Palestinian group Hamas attacked Israel and took hundreds of people hostage. Since then, Israel’s conflict with Hamas and Lebanese group Hezbollah has been going on.

What did Israel say?

IDF i.e. Israel Defense Forces Chief Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi has said that the conflict will continue. He said, ‘One year has passed since October 7, the day we failed in our mission to protect Israeli citizens. We are in 10 days of repentance. October 7 is not only a day of remembrance but also a day of introspection.

He said, ‘One year has passed and we have defeated Hamas’s military front and we are continuing the war against the terrorist capabilities of the organization. We also dealt a deep blow to Hezbollah, which had lost its entire senior leadership. we will not stop. We are adopting an aggressive, strategic and proactive approach on all fronts. We are adopting our defense strategies on all borders.

He further said, ‘And we understand that in order to properly protect our people, the IDF will have to become stronger. We are destroying the capabilities of the enemies and we will ensure that these capabilities cannot be rebuilt. So that October 7 cannot be repeated again.

Three rockets fired in southern Israel

According to agency talks, the Israeli military said that militants from the Gaza Strip launched a rocket attack on southern Israel on Sunday. The attack came just a day before the first anniversary of Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza.

According to the Israeli army, terrorists fired rockets in the Ashkelon and Lachish areas. “Three projectiles were detected entering Israeli territory from the northern Gaza Strip,” the army said. One projectile was intercepted, while the others fell in open areas, according to the Israeli military. There is no report of any casualty in the incident.

Later on Sunday, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, claimed to have fired rockets at several settlements near Israel’s border with Ashkelon and Gaza.
