In Chhattisgarh, once again the police has launched a major operation against Naxalites on the Narayanpur-Dantewada border. So far, there are reports of heavy losses to Naxalites in this encounter. Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar has confirmed that the encounter has been going on intermittently for the last two hours. Also said that all the soldiers are safe in the encounter.
The soldiers of Narayanpur and Dantewada districts are jointly participating in this ongoing operation in Abujhmad area on the border of Narayanpur and Dantewada. Along with the encounter, the search operation of the soldiers is also going on. According to the information received from the sources so far, 5 to 7 Naxalites are reported to have been killed by the soldiers in the encounter. However, Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar is in touch with the soldiers.
It is noteworthy that the police has achieved historic success under the leadership of Prabhat Kumar in Abujhmad area of Narayanpur in Bastar division of Chhattisgarh. Therefore, senior officials of the state including Bastar IG P. Sundarraj are constantly keeping an eye on the entire operation. The operation is going on till the time of writing the news.
