The tiger died in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve due to lightning falling on a tree. Probably the tiger was sitting under a tree and during this time he might have been hit by lightning. This incident of death of the tiger took place in Badada Haar of Magadhi Range of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. During patrolling, security workers and forest personnel saw the dead body of the tiger and informed the ranger. Later this information reached senior officials of the department.

After reaching the spot, when the department officials started investigation, it was seen that under the tree where the tiger’s carcass was lying, gauze had also fallen on the same tree. The tiger’s carcass also appeared charred. From this it has been speculated that the tiger died due to falling of grass.
