IAS Anurag Jain: IAS Anurag Jain becomes the new Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh, has done B.Tech from IIT


In Madhya Pradesh, 1989 batch IAS officer Anurag Jain has been made the new Chief Secretary in place of Veera Rana. He holds the post of Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on central deputation. By making IAS Anurag Jain the Chief Secretary, there will be good coordination between the Central and State Governments.

IAS officer Anurag Jain has been made the new Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh. Today Veera Rana’s tenure has completed. According to the information, Anurag Jain is a 1989 batch IAS officer. He is considered the officer of the Prime Minister’s choice. Before this, he had been given many important responsibilities in the Central Government.

IAS Anurag Jain is currently holding the post of Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on Central deputation. After this he will now return back to Bhopal. According to the information, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav had earlier met Anurag Jain during his visit to Delhi.

Anurag Jain has been at the center for a long time. In such a situation, by becoming the Chief Secretary, there will be good coordination between the Central and State Governments. He will be able to keep the issue of Madhya Pradesh well in the centre. While in the Central Government, he has also done coordination work between different ministries.

Did B.Tech from IIT Kharagpur

IAS Anurag Jain has done B.Tech Honors in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 1986. He became IAS in 1989, after which he did MA in Public Administration from Maxwell School, America.

Award has been received for e-governance

IAS Anurag Jain has also received many big awards. He was given the Web Ratna Award by the Central Government for e-governance. IAS Jain has interest in information and technology.

Won 11 awards in tennis

IAS Anurag Jain is also a very good tennis player, he has won 11 National Awards in this. He also represented Madhya Pradesh in cricket.
