The Government of India has simplified the passport process. Now any citizen of India can apply online for a passport sitting at home. Now by applying online instantly, you can get a passport made in seven days. For this you will have to pay a little more. Before applying, know that your name and date of birth should be same in Aadhar Card, PAN Card, 10th Marksheet, Bank Passbook, License etc.

If you want to travel to any country outside India then you must have a passport. Without this you will not be able to travel. The Government of India has simplified the passport process. Now any citizen of India can apply online for passport sitting at home.

After applying, you will have to take an appointment online and go to the nearest passport office to get your current address, date of birth and identity documents verified. After this, after police verification, your passport will be prepared and will come home.

Now you can get a passport made in seven days by applying online immediately. For this you will have to pay a little more. You can apply for a new passport on the Passport Seva website and can also renew the old one. Before applying, know that your name and date of birth should be same in Aadhar Card, PAN Card, 10th Marksheet, Bank Passbook, License etc.

Travel Agent Federation of India Chairman Shailendra Khare says that the process of getting a passport is very easy. By applying online you can get a passport made in a few days. If necessary, passport is also made on the spot. Now the entire process has been simplified, so that the common man does not face any kind of dilemma.

These documents have to be given

  • Proof of Residence: For this, Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, Income Tax Assessment Order, Electricity Bill, Rent Agreement, Bank Passbook with photo (with three months’ current entry), Ration Card can be used.
  • Proof of Birth: Birth certificate, Aadhar card, Voter ID card, PAN card, 10th mark sheet can be used.
  • proof of identification: You can give PAN card, Aadhar card, license, voter ID card.

cost of making passport

To get a new passport, a fee of Rs 1500 has to be paid. It comes with a 36 page booklet with a validity of 10 years. If you want to get a passport made immediately, then an additional fee of Rs 2000 is charged for this. A fee of Rs 1000 will be charged for making a passport for a minor child. If someone wants a 60 page booklet, then Rs 3000 will have to be paid extra for it.

Passport is available after police verification

After completing the application process, the applicant has to take an online appointment for document verification at the nearest passport office. On the date and time of online appointment, you will have to go to the passport office and produce both original and photocopies of all valid documents. After verification the application proceeds for the process of police verification.

This process of normal and immediate

Passports are made in two types, instant and normal. To get an instant passport, five types of documents should be in the same name. In these you can submit Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Marksheet, Bank Passbook, License, Voter ID etc. Whereas in a normal passport three documents have to be given. In these you can give Aadhar card, PAN card and 10th mark sheet.

You can apply in this way

  • Visit the Passport Seva website passportindia.gov.in.
  • Register by clicking on New User and create user ID and password.
  • Go to the Passport Seva website and login with the ID created.
  • After logging in, click on Apply for Fresh Passport or Re-issue Passport. Here you have to fill the online form. Here new passport, re-issue, normal or tatkal, 36 pages or 60 pages will have to be selected as per your choice.
  • Then fill all the information in the form correctly like name, father’s name, address etc. as per your document. After paying the fees online, select Schedule Appointment.
  • Select the nearest passport office for document verification.
  • Take the slip of the appointment and SMS will come on your mobile also. Reach the office on the date of appointment and get the documents verified.
