A detailed review of the progress of the approved works was done in the meeting of the District Mineral Foundation held in the Collectorate Auditorium. In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion regarding the updated status of works sanctioned under the District Mineral Foundation in previous years, complete works, incomplete works and in-progress works. As per the instructions of the public representatives present in the meeting, the concerned departmental officers have been directed to complete the pre-approved works in the next 2 weeks. Make sure to do physical verification and inform the public representatives about the updated status. Also inform about the possible date of completion of the work. Also ensure that the work that has been completed is issued a completion certificate and handed over to the concerned department. In the meeting, a list of proposed works from the District Mineral Foundation for the coming year was also sought from the public representatives.

Giving information, the District Mineral Officer said that a total amount of Rs 495766538 has been received under the District Mineral Foundation till the year 2023-24, out of which the total cost of the works approved at the district level is Rs 381381700 and the total amount remaining for the works till the financial year 2023724 is Rs 40986829. Are. Along with this, the possible amount to be received in the financial year 2024-25 is Rs 8 crore. He said that a total of 202 works were sanctioned from the year 2015-16 to 2023-24, out of which 72 works have been completed while 115 works are in progress and 10 works have not been started or cancelled. He said that under the District Mineral Foundation, there is a provision to spend 60 percent in high priority areas and 40 percent in other priority areas. High priority areas include drinking water supply, environmental protection and pollution control measures, health care, education, women and child welfare, elderly and disabled people welfare, skill development and cleanliness. Other priority areas include physical infrastructure, irrigation, energy and water shed development and any other measures to enhance the quality of environment in mining districts.
