Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh has expressed displeasure over private hospitals charging more money for the treatment of patients apart from Ayushman Card. Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh has directed CMHO Dr. Mithilesh Chaudhary to take action against those private hospitals which are treating patients by charging extra money apart from Ayushman Card. On the instructions of the Collector, CMHO has given advice to the operators of SMC Hospital, More Hospital and Vaidehi Hospital and they have been told that if any complaint is received again, action will be taken under the Nursing Home Act.
It is noteworthy that in the public hearing held on September 19 at the Chief Minister’s residence, Shri Laxmikant Kurre told Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai that Vaidehi Hospital had taken Rs 61,580 extra apart from the Ayushman Card Scheme. Chief Minister Shri Sai directed Raipur Collector Dr Gaurav Singh to investigate the matter and get the money back. The collector got the matter investigated and after calculating the bill amount, Rs 57,600 was given to the applicant through a cheque. Shri Laxmikant Kurre expressed happiness over the Chief Minister’s prompt action and expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Collector Dr Gaurav Singh.
