Review of the progress of State Support Mission and Aspirational Sampoornata Abhiyan in the state under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary

A review meeting on the progress of State Support Mission and Sampurnata Abhiyan was held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain. Director General Ms. Nidhi Chibber from NITI Aayog, Government of India also participated in it.

In the meeting, Chief Secretary Mr. Jain told the officers of all the concerned departments that it is very important to ensure effective implementation of the state government’s schemes. The Chief Secretary informed that the state has achieved many successes in the Sampoornata Abhiyan and State Support Mission in the recent past. Motivating the officers, he said that they should promote these achievements further and speed up the implementation process of the schemes. He directed all the officers to regularly review the progress and promptly resolve the challenges.

Chief Secretary Mr. Jain said that it is also necessary to make citizens aware to avail the benefits of government schemes. He requested the officers to organize public awareness programs using various mediums, so that people can become aware of their needs and rights. The Chief Secretary also motivated all the officers to work with a new energy and spread awareness.

Collectors of aspiring districts informed the officials present in the meeting about the progress in the Sampurna Abhiyan. In the meeting, the District Collectors explained how they have adopted new strategies to reach the targeted beneficiaries under the Sampurna Abhiyan. Some departments shared that they have improved the reach of services by using digital platforms, while others informed about community-based initiatives.

Director General NITI Aayog, Government of India, Smt. Nidhi Chibber said that the aim of the Sampoornata Abhiyan is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in the society. She emphasized that this campaign not only ensures the availability of schemes, but the officials will also have to work actively to bring it into reality. According to her, new dimensions of development can be opened in both rural and urban areas through this campaign.

Mrs. Chhibber assured all possible help from DMEO (Development Monitoring and Evaluation Unit) for establishment and effective implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation Unit in the state under State Support Mission. Member of State Niti Aayog Dr. K. Subramaniam, Secretary of Trust Department Mr. Mukesh Bansal, Planning Secretary Mr. Ankit Anand, Joint Secretary of Good Governance Department Mr. Prabhat Malik and Niti Aayog Member Secretary Dr. Neetu Goradia and concerned District Collectors participated in the meeting.
