Took many luxury cars on rent including Thar, sold them by making fake Aadhaar card in the name of the owner


Indore Police has caught a gang which used to rent cars and then sell them. Seven luxury cars have also been seized from them. The mastermind of the gang, an auto deal operator, is absconding. Police is searching for him.

Indore’s Lasudiya police has caught such fraudsters who were renting cars from rental car companies and then making them disappear. Seven luxury cars worth two crore rupees have been seized from two accused. Two accused have been arrested.

The mastermind is an auto deal operator, who is still absconding. On May 18, the police had registered a case on the complaint of Rohit Nagaraj Yaduvanshi (Panchvati Colony), operator of ‘Go with Car’ company. Rohit had given cars (Thar and Swift) on rent to Prateek Chaudhary, a resident of Itarsi.

Pratik sold both the cars. Meanwhile, Pritam Kushwaha and Ayush Aggarwal, operators of Bageshwar Car Rental Company, also filed a complaint of fraud in cars like Fortuner, Baleno, Endeavor, Glanza, Thar.

Police recovered valuable cars from different places

The police raided Chhindwara and Narmadapuram and arrested Pratik Chaudhary, resident of Itarsi (Narmadapuram) and Jitendra alias Jeetu Bhavsar, resident of Parasia (Chhindwara). Expensive cars have been recovered from Chhindwara, Nagpur and Jabalpur.

According to TI Taresh Soni, the accused used to extract vehicle owner’s information from the transport department’s website and make fake registration, PAN and Aadhar cards. They used to sell vehicles using these documents. Some vehicles were mortgaged when they could not be sold. Accused Raja Deharia, resident of Parasia (Chhindwara) is wanted. He does business of buying and selling cars.
