In Madhya Pradesh, the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana was started in 2018. It was implemented to provide social security to unorganized workers. Under this scheme, the worker’s family is given an amount of two lakh rupees in case of normal death and four lakh rupees in case of death in an accident.
The Mukhyamantri Jankalyan Sambal Yojana launched by the Madhya Pradesh government in 2018 is currently limited to registration. One crore 71 lakh 25 thousand 668 people have been registered under this scheme across the state, but there is no trace of the ex-gratia amount for 14 months.
This scheme, which was started at the government level keeping public interest in mind, is currently stalled. Due to this, thousands of beneficiaries are getting mentally distressed.
In a small town like Rajgarh in Dhar district, 3800 people have been registered and the process is still going on. There are more than 25 such cases here in which the beneficiaries were supposed to get the ex-gratia amount as per the rules, but it did not come. Due to non-receipt of the amount, this scheme is proving to be useless.
Cases reached CM helpline
The name of the scheme is definitely Mukhyamantri Jankalyan Sambal Yojana, but complaints have been made on the Chief Minister’s helpline regarding the Chief Minister’s scheme. So far, more than 25 complaints have been made from Rajgarh itself. Some were resolved after persuasion, while some are still pending.
