Rishabh Pant was out after scoring 39 runs in the first Test match against Bangladesh on Thursday, September 19 at the Chennai ground, but he achieved a big feat during this time. Rishabh Pant has become the second wicketkeeper batsman for India to set a record of scoring more than 4000 runs in international cricket. There are many other players in this list, but only one wicketkeeper has scored more runs than him for India.

Former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has scored the most runs for India as a wicketkeeper batsman in international cricket. He scored 17092 runs as a wicketkeeper batsman for Team India in all three formats of international cricket. No other wicketkeeper for India had reached more than 4000 runs till now, but now this record has been registered in the name of young wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. Rishabh Pant now has 4014 runs as a wicketkeeper batsman in international cricket.

The third name in the list is Syed Kirmani, who has scored 3132 runs and Farooq Engineer is at number four with 2725 runs. Nayan Mongia is at number five with 2714 runs and former captain and head coach Rahul Dravid also managed to score 2300 runs as a wicketkeeper batsman. Apart from these, no other batsman has been able to score more than 2000 runs as a wicketkeeper for India. Kiran More has managed to score 1848 and KL Rahul 1804 runs so far.
