The name of the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh will be finalized next week

Bhopal
The name of the new Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh will be decided next week. Chief Secretary Veera Rana will retire on 30 September. Before this, the government will appoint a Special Duty Officer. The names of 1989 batch officer Anurag Jain and 1990 batch officer Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Rajoura are in discussion for this post.

Anurag Jain is considered to be an officer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s liking and he has been continuously given important responsibilities in the Government of India. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has not only expressed confidence in Dr. Rajesh Rajoura by appointing him as his Additional Chief Secretary but has also increased his stature.

It is believed that one of these two officers will be made the Chief Secretary. Along with 1989 batch officer Mohammad Suleman, the name of 1990 batch Additional Chief Secretary Home, Jail and Transport SN Mishra was also in discussion for the new Chief Secretary of the state. After making Suleman the Agriculture Production Commissioner, the government gave him the additional charge of the post of Chairman of the Staff Selection Board, indicating that he is not in the consideration field.

On the other hand, SN Mishra has the image of a well-settled officer. This is the reason why he has been given important departments like Home, Transport but the short time left for retirement is a hindrance to his prospects. He will retire in January 2025. On the other hand, Anurag Jain has time till August 2025, so his name is being discussed.

He has worked as the secretary of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and was handling the reins of the Finance Department in the Kamal Nath government. He has always been given important responsibilities on central deputation. Currently, he is the Secretary of the Road and Transport Ministry. During his stay in Delhi, there has been a discussion between him and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. On the other hand, Rajoura has his working style and undisputed image in his favour.

The Chief Minister has expressed confidence in him by making him Additional Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office and preparing for the organization of Simhastha 2028. He will retire in May 2027. In this regard, he has the most time. This is the reason why there is a strong possibility of him being made the Chief Secretary.

Neeraj Mandloi will be made Additional Chief Secretary

On the retirement of Chief Secretary Veera Rana, one post of Chief Secretary pay scale will be vacant. On this, Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Neeraj Mandloi of 1993 batch will be promoted to the post of Additional Chief Secretary.
