16 model night shelters will be built in MP at a cost of 96 crores, CM Mohan’s gifts to laborers


Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that all necessary facilities should be provided to the workers near industrial areas. PM Modi has set a target to benefit the youth, women and the poor. Therefore, the Labor Department should take necessary steps for the workers in collaboration with other departments. All the necessary things like training, housing, children’s education should be provided near them. The Chief Minister said that the process of building modern night shelters for workers is going on in 16 municipal corporation areas of the state.

Work is going on to build 16 night shelters

The process of building 100-bed capacity model night shelters is underway in 16 municipal corporations of the state. The cost of building each night shelter will be approximately Rs 6 crore. These will be operated under the chairmanship of the District Collector. The Labor Department has received proposals from Bhopal, Sagar, Jabalpur and Indore. The rest of the work is in progress. Along with separate accommodation for men and women, there will also be dispensary facilities in the night shelters.

Mill workers will get their old dues

The Chief Minister said that all the pending cases related to the pending payments of workers should be settled within the stipulated time. The state government is committed to getting the old pending payments of the workers of various mills of Indore, Nagda, Ratlam and Gwalior as well as other mills.

Labour welfare centres should be built in Satna and Gwalior

CM Yadav said that model labour welfare centres should be built near such industrial areas where the number of labourers is high so that maximum number of people can be benefited. He has given instructions to build labour welfare centres in Satna and Gwalior. The Chief Minister said that the subsidy scheme for the purchase of tools and machines should be linked with the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

Publicize labour welfare schemes

During the review of the Employees State Insurance Corporation, the Chief Minister said that the treatment assistance provided to the workers by the corporation should be widely publicised through various media. The 100-bed hospital being built in Pithampur should be started soon.

Children were selected in Navy and Armed Forces

It was told in the meeting that Madhya Pradesh Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Board is successfully running four Shramodaya Residential Schools in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior. More than 3500 students are taking advantage of CBSE curriculum in these schools. 15 students of these schools have passed JEE and NEET exams. Not only this, 13 students have been selected in Navy and Armed Forces.

Free accommodation, food and education

The Bhopal-based Shramodaya Adarsh ​​ITI is being run by the CRISP organization. For its first academic session 2023-24, 139 trainees are taking training in 8 different trades. Here, accommodation and food along with study material are provided without any fees.

Lakhs of students are taking benefit

In the year 2023-24, one lakh 14 thousand 900 beneficiaries were benefited in 21 different schemes by the Workers Welfare Board in the state. In the current financial year also, 51 thousand 226 labour beneficiaries have benefited from these schemes in the last five months.
