A 2 test match series will start between India and Bangladesh from 19th September, the first match of which will be played at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai. It is expected that the bowlers will get good bounce on this pitch and the ball will reach the keeper comfortably at a good height. However, due to the intense heat in Chennai, the spinner will definitely play its role over time. Still, it is believed that fast bowlers can create problems for the batsmen throughout the Test. According to the pitch and conditions, fast bowlers can also get reverse swing here. The nature of the Chepauk pitches has completely changed in the last few years.
For now, it seems that the Indian team will take the field with a strong bowling line-up of five bowlers, which is expected to include Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. Apart from this, Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Akash Deep and the team’s only left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal are also in the team.
