GRP arrested three accused who stole jewellery and cash from passengers in moving trains

Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested three accused who used to steal jewellery and cash from passengers in moving trains. Jewellery and cash worth Rs. 17 lakhs have been seized from the arrested accused. This action has been taken by Bhopal Rani Kamlapati GRP Police.

The three arrested accused Pramod Chaudhari, Somu Kumar and Monu have revealed several thefts during interrogation by GRP police. Goods worth lakhs including cash and gold jewellery have been recovered from the accused. It is said that they used to commit thefts after getting reservation in AC class in trains. The accused used to commit thefts in trains in Odisha, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and other states as well. They used to commit the crimes after the passengers fell asleep in the train. Goods worth Rs. 17,52,000 have been recovered from the thieves. All the three accused are residents of Patna district of Bihar state.
