Taking a major action today, Divisional Commissioner Mahadev Kavre has suspended the Belargaon Tehsildar of Dhamtari district with immediate effect. Tehsildar Anuj Patel has been suspended for staying out of the headquarters without permission or competent approval and for not making the expected progress in government work. An order has also been issued in this regard from the Divisional Commissioner’s Office. The headquarters of the suspended Tehsildar has been fixed as Commissioner’s Office Raipur.
In this regard, Kavre said that complaints were being received continuously against the Tehsildar of Belargaon in Dhamtari district. Complaints have also been received that Tehsildar Anuj Patel is habitual of staying out of the headquarters without permission or competent approval. Complaints were also received against him of negligence and lack of interest in government work. Kavre said that complaints were also received against Patel regarding low progress in resolving revenue related cases, and problems being faced by the general public due to keeping the cases pending for a long time. In this regard, the collector of Dhamtari district was instructed to investigate and submit a report.
The Divisional Commissioner informed that on the basis of the report received from the Collector, Belargaon Tehsildar Anuj Patel has been suspended. Patel has been suspended under the provisions of Chhattisgarh Civil Services Rules 1966. The Divisional Commissioner has also directed Collector Dhamtari to prepare a charge sheet against Patel, details of the allegations, list of witnesses, list of documents etc. and make it available to the Divisional Commissioner’s office within seven days.
