Health Minister held a division level review meeting of the Health Department in Jagdalpur

State Health and Family Welfare Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that the government is committed to ensure the availability of health facilities to the last person in the society. For this purpose, the state’s Medical College Hospital, District Hospital, Civil Hospital, Community Health Centre and Primary Health Centres and Ayushman Arogya Centres are being strengthened. Under which priority is being given to the provision of equipment and human resources along with the availability of state-of-the-art facilities. Health Minister Jaiswal was addressing the division level review meeting of the Health Department at Circuit House Jagdalpur. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said during the meeting that inter-departmental coordination should be established for the prevention and treatment of seasonal diseases and result-oriented work should be done on the ground.

Along with creating wide public awareness, focus on adequate availability of medicines, better use of combat teams and by keeping the Rapid Response Team active, focus on prevention and treatment of seasonal diseases. He expressed the need to work in mission mode to make Bastar malaria free and asked to give top priority to testing and treatment. Also, emphasis was laid on distribution of medicated mosquito nets and spraying of malaria insecticides. Health minister Jaiswal asked to ensure hygiene and cleanliness, clean toilets and quality food as per the menu in the district hospital, civil hospital, community health centre and primary health centres including the medical college hospital.

Also, he directed to keep security personnel as per the requirement. He asked to take decision in this direction through Jeevandeep Committee. He also directed to make demand from state level as per the need. Health Minister stressed on the presence of doctors and paramedical staff during the prescribed duty period in hospitals and directed to be sensitive for timely treatment of patients. While giving instructions to reduce referral cases from hospitals, he said that better treatment of patients should be done by proper use of resources available at local level. He said that efforts should be made to ensure cent percent institutional delivery and to arrange specialist doctors for caesarean operation. Health Minister also specially stressed on the supply of doctors and paramedical staff along with necessary equipment in hospitals and health centers of Bastar.
