Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) membership drive is an opportunity to strengthen the organisation and the country. He called upon party workers to achieve the target of getting 50 lakh people to join the party in the state.
The BJP on Monday launched its nationwide membership drive in New Delhi in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The BJP membership drive for Chhattisgarh kicked off at a function at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Auditorium in Raipur with chief minister Sai becoming the first party member to renew his membership in the state.
In his address, Sai said the membership drive was a valuable opportunity to strengthen the BJP and the country and party workers should devote time to achieve the target of enrolling 50 lakh people into the party in the state.

According to the report, the BJP membership drive for Chhattisgarh was launched on Tuesday at a function held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur, where Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai became the first party member to renew his membership in the state. Meanwhile, the party’s state unit president Kiran Dev gave him the party membership.
In his address during the membership drive in the state, Sai said that the membership drive is a valuable opportunity to strengthen the BJP and the country and party workers should devote time to achieve the target of enrolling 50 lakh people into the party in the state.
A record 18 crore new members have joined BJP in the membership drive
It is worth noting that during the BJP membership campaign conducted between 2014 and 2015, BJP had added a record 11 crore new members to the party. In the year 2019, BJP had started the membership campaign for some time, then about 7 crore people had taken membership of the party.
