Apple is expected to generate a large number of jobs here by withdrawing from China and increasing production and business in India. According to a recent report, by expanding the scope of its products in India, Apple can generate more than six lakh jobs, out of which about 70 percent jobs are expected to be given to women.
According to the report, by the end of the current financial year, Apple will create around two lakh direct jobs. According to government estimates given in the report, every one direct job usually creates at least three indirect jobs. By this calculation, a total of five to six lakh new employment opportunities are expected to be created.
Will the high-end Pro and Pro Max models of the iPhone 16 series be assembled in India?
There are indications that Apple is planning to assemble the high-end Pro and Pro Max models of its upcoming iPhone 16 series in India for the first time. The production will reportedly be done through Apple’s partner, Foxconn Technology Group, at their Sriperumbudur plant in Tamil Nadu. According to Bloomberg News, the company has started training programs for thousands of employees at its factory in Tamil Nadu.
It is worth noting that California-based Apple has officially announced an event on September 9 with the tagline ‘It’s Glowtime’. Industry observers expect four new iPhone 16 models to be launched during the event. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently shared that Apple is accelerating the development of its first Mac equipped with the M4 chip, which was initially introduced with the latest iPad Pro. The upcoming lineup is expected to include the latest versions of the MacBook Pro, Mac Mini and iMac, all of which will be equipped with the M4 chip.
