In Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh, a father and brother crushed two brothers to death with a tractor and injured two family members including one brother over land division. Police officials said that five people including three women have been arrested in this case and four others are absconding. The surprising thing is that all the people involved in this incident belong to the same family.
Two brothers, Bhagbali Patle (55) and Vakil Patle (45), were killed and another brother, Kaushal Patle (58) and Vakil’s wife Santoshi Patle (40), were injured in a family fight in Gigatra village under the Fasterpur police station area of the district, police officials said.
There is enmity between all the brothers regarding land
Police officials said that in this case Kejuram Patle, his wife Chitralekha, brother Makhan’s wife Meenakshi and Makhan’s son and another brother Rambali’s wife Rajni have been arrested. The officer said that four people including Kejuram’s father Toran Patle are absconding. There is a dispute over land division between the seven sons of Toran Patle, a resident of Budhwara village – Bhagbali, Vakil, Keju, Makhan, Rambali, Kaushal and Narendra.
Family divided into two groups
Officials said that all the brothers are divided into two groups over this dispute. Toran Patle is on the side of his sons Keju, Makhan and Rambali, while on the other side are Bhagbali, Vakil, Kaushal and Narendra. He said that on Sunday, Bhagbali, Vakil, Vakil’s wife Santoshi and Kaushal were working in the field on the road from Gigatra to Chhatan village. During this time, the other group of the family, Keju, Chitralekha, Makhan, Makhan’s wife Meenakshi, Makhan’s son, brother Rambali, Rambali’s wife Rajni, Makhan’s in-laws’ relative Lalla, and his father Toran were hiding in Makhan’s house adjacent to the field with sticks and rods.
Officials said that as soon as Bhagbali, Vakil, Santoshi and Kaushal came out of the field and reached the road, Keju, Chitralekha, Makhan, Meenakshi, Makhan’s son, Rambali, Rajni, Lalla and Toran attacked them. They said that during this Keju crushed Bhagbali and Vakil with his tractor due to which Bhagbali died on the spot. Vakil, Kaushal and Santoshi were injured in this incident.
Officials said that on receiving the information, the police team left for the village and the injured were taken to the hospital. Where the doctors declared the lawyer dead. He said that in this incident five accused Kejuram, Chitralekha, Rajni, Meenakshi and Makhan’s son have been arrested and Toran, Makhan, Rambali and relative Lalla are absconding. Officials said that the police have registered a case and investigation is going on.
