There is good news for the people of Madhya Pradesh. To develop Indore, work is being done on a big project related to the Union Ministry of Road and Highways. The most important among these is the Indore-Harda and Indore-Khandwa road, which will open the way for the development of the city. However, this project is running a little behind schedule.
NHAI is working with a target of around March 2025. Project Director Sumesh Banjal said that due to some reason the project got delayed, but work on NHAI projects is now progressing rapidly. Work on Indore-Harda, Indore-Khandwa Road and MR-10 Bridge is being done as per the set target.
Cost and goals
Indore-Harda road is being built at a cost of 1011 crores. The target is to complete it by 31 March 2025. The asphalting of this work is going on. Two lanes have been asphalted for 16 KM and four lanes have been asphalted for 8 KM. It will have direct connectivity with Nagpur. Indore-Khandwa road is being built at a cost of 1163 crores. It is also targeted to be completed by March 2025. Work on three tunnels is going on in the 33 KM road from Tejaji Nagar to Balwada. 17 KM has been asphalted.
