Current monsoon system
The cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan and adjoining areas stretches up to 5.8 km above sea level, tilting southwestwards and persists over the higher reaches.
The Monsoon trough at sea level is now passing through Ferozepur, Hissar, Orai, Varanasi, Jamshedpur, Digha and then moving east-southeastwards to north-east Bay of Bengal.
Cyclonic circulation lies over North-East Assam extending upto 1.5 km above sea level.
The cyclonic circulation over South Jharkhand and adjoining areas at 5.8 to 7.6 km above sea level tilted southwards and persists.
